Bliss Ceremony Styling

The Ceremony - the more serious part and officially the most important part of the day. Whether you choose a simple yet effective look or go big and extravagant; Bliss have got all you need to create that impressive walkway to your Happily Ever After.   â€‹

Where possible we can use the decor you have hired from us to go down the aisle - perhaps a part of your centrepieces (candle based) or full centrepieces (plumes for example). We can rope in the big guns and bring our aisle runner and clear plinths to create something more dramatic. Please note that all candles are provided in line with the candle policy at your venue.

Katie & The Bliss Team x

Say 'I Do' to our Feature Decor

We have quite the collection of items for you to choose from here. If you have had a good look around you will have seen we have Arches, a Moongate, Rustic Frames along with Bliss Flower Walls & Sequin Walls. â€‹

Where possible we encourage your signing table to be set to the side so you can marry in full view of your backdrop - we have to think about your photos!

You have the option to add a Neon Sign, there are some restrictions for example you can't have 'Just Married' for the Ceremony and there are some Bliss limitations on what can go on the Rustic Frames due to the weight of them. â€‹

We will always look to relocating your chosen Feature Decor but again there are some practicalities we need to consider with such large items and for those who are hoping for an outdoor ceremony.

All our sample full day styling packages do include a Bliss Backdrop.

Plinths & Plumes

Within our Chic & Blissful sample packages we do include 2 x clear plinths which you can use at the start of the aisle. If you want to upgrade you can have 4...we can swap in / out the aisle runner if this is your preference on the Blissful package.

Unless otherwise stated the 2 x clear plinths (or 4) will be removed after the Ceremony as your decor will then go on Guest Tables. There are certain venues where these look perfect still in position (such as the West Tower) and these won't be in the way of your dancing! Our packages are always tailored to you and your venue so we can work together to create the final look.

 â€‹

Looking for a more simplistic Ceremony look or will it be a little cramped in the room if you had them? Our Elegance package is perfect for you - this still includes something from our Feature Decor collection and we can still make use of the decor for your Reception down the aisle (where appropriate) so let's discuss the options and the space you have available.

Dressing & Styling your Aisle

There are various ways we can dress your aisle...you would just need to consider if you would like an Aisle Runner first of all. If your venue already provide one this is fine - we can work with whatever your venue can offer you. Of course our aisle runner will be removed after the ceremony.

How to dress your aisle can be led by what your Reception decor is going to involve. We can use parts of this down the aisle - such as candles, lanterns, florals - those which go in our pedestal bowls or cubes, those for your top table. All candles for the Ceremony & Reception are provided in line with the candle policy at the venue and this can be different - some venues don't allow real candles on the floor but on the tables, others don't allow water for risk of damaging the floor. Therefore we may need to adapt what we use for both spaces.

When providing aisle dressing we do have to consider the relocation. If this is in the same room (i.e a turnaround) this is no problem; if we are marching across site one cylinder vase at a time we may need to go Double D - Double Decor.

Hoping for an outdoor ceremony? We will have a Plan A and Plan B and we encourage you to look through our advice / guidance on outdoor ceremonies.

The Best Seat in the House

Chair Dressing can be a must do part of the styling. We do include the service across all our packages, however we can remove this should you not want it or if your venue will be providing it all / part of it - such as if they provide the covers, we can provide the fancy bit!

One thing to consider is whether the chairs used are the same chairs used throughout the whole day. This is only really a question if you are using separate rooms for your Ceremony & Reception however we can as with all parts of our styling service tailor this to you. The different design options are dependant on the chairs you have at your venue. We can discuss the styles with you but they include vertical, tied diagonally towards the aisle, diamond, chair hood, double drape, weave.

PS have we mentioned we have over 20 different chiffon colours to choose from? We encourage you to decide face to face at our walkthrough meeting (we tend to have one for full day styling packages) so you can colour match.

PPS please don't get too hung up on what we call our colours. As you will know by now in all your wedding planning the colours are slightly subjective (a bit like shades of grey in paint!). You should go for the colour shade not the name.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered

The majority of couples will use some of their top table decor on the signing / ceremony table. We can provide candles too - but yep you guessed it in line with the policy at the venue AND one better this time in line with what the registrars allow.

Things we need to check - some councils request 2 signing tables. One for you to sign on the dotted line, one for them to sit whilst you are having photos etc. Your venue coordinator will know the answer and we can liaise with the venue on this.

Our recommendation where possible is to have this table set to the side so that any Bliss Backdrop can be popping in full in your photos. This isn't always possible either for a space perspective or on a practical level so don't worry if you can't. We would take into consideration the 'view' behind you as this is one of those most photographed moments.

Having a Celebrant led wedding? No problem, if you don't have a table / don't need a table as you are officially already married we can work with this but we would just say double check with your Celebrant, consider if you want photos of you signing / sat at a table to recreate the look and whether just for balance a table will be needed.

Outdoor Ceremonies

Ahhh The Great British Weather, if only we could buy the sunshine! First off...we love an outdoor ceremony and yes there is the potential to have your decor outside. But there are various things to take into consideration here so it isn't going to be a case of 'yes let's have exactly the same setup outside as we would in'; allow us to explain why.

If we have to make a mad dash for indoors - we can't with an Arch. Some of our Bliss Backdrops aren't suitable for outdoor use - sorry but safety first - and even then we have to consider the floor / ground suitability / stability. We explain more about this over on our Advice for Outdoor Ceremonies page click here to read more.

We need to know at the time of enquiry whether you have your fingers crossed or not for it. We also need to know that you have it recorded with your venue over your preference - sounds obvious but they can't just take our word for it; it all needs to be confirmed and agreed with them.

We also need to have a thorough Plan A and Plan B; where possible we can make the decision the day before but if not, we need a sensible cut off point on the morning in relation to your guest arrival and ceremony time AND consideration has to be given to your overall ceremony styling setup. We can't do it all in an hour....simples.
